This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our transformation by developing and implementing the Council’s Housing Asset Management Strategy and Investment Plans. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with Housing Regulatory Standards, the Building Safety Act, and statutory health and safety requirements.

Responsible for legislative and regulatory property compliance, including being the responsible officer for building and fire safety. Ensuring all suitable inspections, processes, reporting and mitigations are in place.
Handle the delivery of carbon reduction works with the Council’s properties including funding bids, delivery programmes, and leading the relevant strategies.
Manage the interface between the Housing Repairs & Assets Team and other service areas with responsibility for housing repairs in the City and Asset Management across all property portfolio
Responsible for the strategy, investment, and delivery measures to eliminate damp, mould and condensation within all properties.
Lead on the process of bidding and advocacy for aspects of investment into HRA Council Housing in the City
Develop and manage the governance arrangements required to deliver the HRA Housing Capital and Regeneration programmes and strategies, utilising stock condition information to continually revise capital programmes and maintain stock decency.

A relevant professional qualification or significant experience in asset management or housing.
Strong understanding of housing repairs and assets, compliance requirements, and funding processes.
Proven ability to lead large-scale projects, meet deadlines, and deliver measurable improvements.
Experience with bidding for funding, working with developers, and forming strategic partnerships.
A strategic thinker with political awareness and exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
